Leaf Man

This is another lovely book to read in the Autumn to young children (0-5 years).

This colourful picture book tells the story of a man made of leaves who blows away. We follow his journey as he travels wherever the wind may takes him. The book shows you the places he visits such as marshes, fields and prairies and the creatures he meets: ducks, geese, turtles and cows.

We really enjoyed the bright and colourful pictures made from real leaf collages. The pages are cut into different sizes and shapes too which lets you see different layers of the landscape as you go through the book.

After reading the story, we went and collected leaves from our garden then made our own leaf people and animals.
